PAST PROJECT

A 10-storey CBD building with deteriorated rooftop waterproofing, 90 condenser units requiring full relocation, and access deficiencies creating ongoing safety risk. The OC needed a complete, permanent solution — backed by the highest-grade warranty available.

The Challenge

The rooftop waterproofing system on this 10-storey CBD building had deteriorated beyond repair. Approximately 90 air conditioning condensers required full relocation and coordination across multiple trades. Existing access and fall protection infrastructure was deficient, preventing safe ongoing maintenance. The Owners Corporation needed a solution that was durable, fully compliant and built to last — not another temporary fix.

RPG's Approach

RPG managed the full project from design through to handover. A specialist waterproofing design solution was procured and implemented using the Soprema system — achieving a 20-year supply and install warranty, the highest available in its class. A structural engineer was engaged to design new plant platforms for the condenser relocation. RPG managed the testing and commissioning of all 90 mechanical units, upgraded the perimeter fall protection system, and maintained rigorous ITP review and mandatory hold points throughout construction.
